SigmaBleyzer takes an industrialist approach to its investments, focusing on improving companies at the operational level to create value. We acquire controlling equity positions in high-growth companies in the emerging markets of Eastern Europe, leveraging our extensive experience in the region to accelerate a company’s revenue growth, as well as improve efficiencies to improve EBITDA. We seek investment opportunities in sectors that have the highest growth potential, enjoy a competitive advantage, or in industries that are expected to benefit from the close integration with the EU. We consider investment opportunities in such diverse industries as cable TV, food and beverages, information technology, health care, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, distribution, retail, consumer products and other.
SigmaBleyzer currently manages assets valued at over $1 billion. SigmaBleyzer closed its fourth and most recent fund, SigmaBleyzer Southeast European Fund IV (SBF IV), in December 2006. SBF IV was 25% over subscribed, reaching its cap of ˆ250 million. SBF IV is the largest private equity fund in Ukraine, and one of the largest in Southeastern Europe. SigmaBleyzer also manages the Ukrainian Growth Funds I, II and III, and has begun investment activities in Kazakhstan.
Investments
SigmaBleyzer funds have made over 100 investments in a number of industries including Cable TV, Software Development, Confectioneries, Shipbuilding, Electrical Utilities, Industrial Equipment, Media, Metals and others. Nearly 80 exits have been made to date.
