UGF II

The second Ukrainian Growth Fund is a $20 million fund that began making investments in 1997 during the privatization process in Ukraine. The fund made a total of 40 investments in a variety of industries, including Electrical Utilities, Food & Beverage, Industrial Equipment, Metals and other. The fund is now closed, harvesting its remaining investments, and distributing funds to investors.

High costs of raw materials and energy and the necessity to keep the prices for tires at the levels of similar producers led to growing production costs, decreasing production volumes, and losses in 1999. Trying to change the situation, Rosava has widened its product range, carried out a modernization of manufacture, and made an agreement about raw materials supplies from Russia.

The Slovyansk High-Voltage Insulators is the leading Ukrainian producer of electrical porcelain. The plant manufactures porcelain insulators used for compensation in energy and electrotechnical machines in the energy sector and machine building.
 
The key products of the company are high-voltage and low-voltage insulators of electrical porcelain for voltage from 0.5 kV to 1,500 kV, and high-voltage and low-voltage tubes for current-carrying parts in various plants and devices.
