The Job:
1. Monitoring of the economic situation of key transition countries and providing management with the necessary information.
2. Carrying out economic research and analysis leading to the preparation of the following documents:
• Major economic and business related publications issued periodically by the company
• Short policy papers and other reports on economic reforms issues in Ukraine and other countries in the region which can be submitted to the Government and a wide international audience. These reports would normally focus on policies that effect the business environment.

The Requirements:
• At least a Master Degree in Economics or Finance from a domestic or internationally recognized institution
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Russian and Ukrainian
• Experience in writing original research papers in English
• Computer literacy
• Strong econometric skills
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Initiative and enthusiasm
• Knowledge of economic development of the transition countries.

Reporting:
For his/her work, the Economist will report to the Chief Economist of SigmaBleyzer, who is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Bleyzer Foundation. For administrative purposes, the Economist will report to the managing Director of the Bleyzer Foundation.
