The Berdyansk Reapers increased production output in the first six months of 2002 by 60% as compared to the same period of 2001, a correspondent of Ukrinform reports. Its production volume amounted to 800 grain and grain/legume reapers. In the first half of 2001, the company produced 500 reapers. The average cost of one reaper varies from UAH 15,000 to UAH 20,000, according to the press service of SigmaBleyzer, an international investment company managing a 70.0% stake in The Berdyansk Reapers. Vitaly Paziy, a representative of SigmaBleyzer, informed that The Berdyansk Reapers was created in March 2001 in the process of restructuring of the Pershotravnevy Agricultural Machinery Plant. This step allowed to renew production of reapers by using the production facilities that were frozen because of huge debts and other problems, which existed at the Pershotravnevy Plant.

The statutory fund of The Berdyansk Reapers is UAH 457,296,000. Its shareholder structure is as follows: the UGF International Investment Fund – 70.00% (the stake is under management of SigmaBleyzer); Ukragromashinvest – 25.00%.

The main consumers of the company’s products are Russian farmers.
