Quality control system for ship repair and shipbuilding at the Sevastopol Shipyard is certified in Russia.

Corporate quality control system for ship repair and shipbuilding of the Sevastopol Shipyard is now internationally certified by ISO 9002 in the certification schemes of the Russian Navigation Register, Military Register of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the Government Standard of the Russian Federation. The corresponding certifications were presented to the Sevastopol Shipyard, as well as to shipbuilding and ship repair companies, which are parts of the SSY Holding. This certification will become an additional factor of increasing competitive strength of the SSY on the Russian market.

The Sevastopol Shipyard used to specialize in military ship repair; since 1996, it has been performing commercial ship repair and shipbuilding for Ukrainian and foreign ship owners, as well as port activities. The capacities of the company allow it to perform all types of ship repair works, including repairs of main engines, mechanical parts, and electronic systems of ships.

The correspondent of Ukrinform received the following financial information on SSY from the Kharkiv office of international investment company SigmaBleyzer, which manages a controlling stake in the company:
Sales Volume in 2000 – UAH 84.0 million, in 2001 UAH 104 million;
Net income: in 2000 – loss of UAH 1.908 million, in 2001 – income of UAH 4.365 million.

The statutory fund of the Sevastopol Shipyard amounts to UAH 772,479 million; the UGF International Investment Fund owns a 50.2% stake in the company (assets of the fund are managed by SigmaBleyzer); 26% belong to the state; other shareholders own 23.8%.
