On December 2009, Kyiv School of Policy Scenario Development and The Bleyzer Foundation held a joint round table for experts and mass media representatives entitled Ukraine: What Will Happen after the Storm?

The experts discussed the following topics:

Ukraine needs reforms to ensure a breakthrough of the Ukrainian economy and enter a new cycle of economic development. These reforms must include:
•    measures to ensure stability and transparency in the legal and judiciary fields;
•    measures to tackle corruption at all levels of power;
•    a public administration reform to enhance responsibility of public institutions for decisions made;
•    a clear, vertical structure of power and the development of a civil society through the mechanism of constituent authorities.

What are the ways out of the economic and political crisis? What real steps can civil society institutions make? Public organizations could accelerate Ukraine’s recovery and stimulate social and economic progress in the future through their activity.

The role of the church in uniting the society to achieve spiritual peace and economic growth.
