Leysa Gannochenko is General Counsel for SigmaBleyzer based in Houston, TX. She joined the firm in 1998, initially working in the legal department in Ukraine where she handled issues pertaining to securities and brokerage markets, business organization and corporate governance of portfolio companies. She transferred to the Houston office in 2001 and now coordinates SigmaBleyzer's legal and tax activities worldwide, including the implementation of efficient structures for investments, acquisitions, reorganizations and mergers.
Ms. Gannochenko has been involved in performing legal due diligence for SigmaBleyzer investments in different countries, including the recent acquisition of Jus-Made in Texas. In 2007, she partnered with Goldman Sachs to facilitate the private sale of a major SigmaBleyzer investment and its subsequent merger. In addition to her corporate work, Ms. Gannochenko has experience in immigration and employment law.
Ms. Gannochenko received her law degree in 1998 at International Solomon University in Kiev, Ukraine and was licensed the same month. She also holds an L.L.M. degree from the University of Houston and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association as well as the International Bar Association. Ms. Gannochenko serves on the Advisory Committee of DAAR Charitable Foundation in Houston.
