Radu Bugica holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from University Politehnica in Bucharest and a BA in Finance, Banking and Stock Exchanges from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. He has also taken part in various additional training and courses in banking, capital markets and equity research held by Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Franklin College, Citibank, and Reuters Open University.
Mr. Bugica has more than 15 years experience in banking, equity research, brokerage and corporate finance. From 1997 to 2005, he worked for Global Securities, a regional brokerage and investment bank, where he became the GM of operations in Romania. He led the team that listed SNP Petrom (oil & gas) on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and was a member of the team that completed the first ADR/GDR issue out of Romania. Prior to that, Mr. Bugica was the Chief Trader of BancPost, a mid-size Romanian bank.
Mr. Bugica is responsible for identifying and recommending suitable investment opportunities as well as helping to define the structure and pricing of prospective deals in Romania. Additionally, Mr. Bugica is responsible for the overall management of Romanian operations and the development of relationships with the local financial community.
